EFQM Introductory meeting

Get to know EFQM - Participate in an Introductory Meeting

Introductory Meetings are intended for EFQM Members, especially new members and new EFQM Representatives.  The aim of these one-day events is to give participants an introduction to EFQM and help them anticipate what an increased commitment to driving Excellence in their organisation will involve.  The programme features the following sessions:

  • Discover EFQM - Overview, future strategy, membership benefits
  • The EFQM Excellence Model - Fundamental Concepts, the benefits of using the Model
  • EFQM Strategy - the EFQM Framework for Innovation and future projects
  • In Search of Excellence - What does Excellence mean for newcomers, advanced organisations and for you
  • Where you are? - Learn how to assess your maturity level against the eigh Fundamental Concepts of Excellence
  • Plan your next steps - presenting the four Excellence disciplines and start building your roadmap for the years to come
  • EFQM Services - Publications, training courses, events, Knowledge Base (Excellence One and the Good Practice Database), EFQM Excellence Award, Recognised for Excellence, Committed to Excellence, becoming an Award Assessor, etc.  Participants will then have the chance to enhance their roadmap in the light of these services.
  • Face-to-face meetings - meet the EFQM staff

In 2010, 4 Introductory Meetings will be held at EFQM. The dates are:

Participants have also the opportunity to hear how an EFQM Member organisation successfully implemented the EFQM Excellence Model across their business, leading to permanent performance improvements.  Organisations which have presented their ‘Journey towards Excellence’ in the past have included: Corus Group, TNT Express, Eurocontrol, Solvay, Siemens, Philips, Umicore, Pioneer, Stagecoach South West Trains Ltd, Ricoh, ...

In parallel with the presentation on our Knowledge Base, each participant will have the opportunity to meet with one EFQM staff member on a one-to-one basis for 35 minutes to fine tune EFQM's support to their Excellence journey and put the final touch to their roadmap.
