Engaging, practical & focused on the future

JOIN US IN GLASGOW!

This year's Learning Edge is being held in Glasgow and we thank both Central College and Glasgow City Council for their generosity in supporting EFQM.  Without their support we would not be able to hold this important event in the EFQM annual calendar.

EFQM is first and foremost a member based organisation and the strength of the Foundation comes from the involvement of its members.  This was never truer than this years' Learning Edge which over the two days gives its participants the opportunity to :

  • Listen to peers as they Share what Works from them
  • Take the opportunity to make a full contribution to the future direction of EFQM, your Foundtation, and its core product, the EFQM Excellence Model.

Day One of the programme focuses on Service Excellence, a subject close to the heart of our hosts, Central College and Glasgow City Council.  Indeed Glasgow Central College (an EFQM Recognised for Excellence 5 star) has kindly volunteered to set the scene for Day One with their own experiences in this area.  The subsequent parallel sessions will include speakers from the healthcare, education, utilities and housing sectors.

Day Two has two main thrusts.  Share What Works continues with more EFQM members sharing their experiences, this time specifically around the use of the EFQM Model in different applications.  Finally, participants will be able to listen to Pierre Cachet, the CEO of EFQM, as he outlines the strategic direction and proposed actions for EFQM over the next three years and then provide feedback on these plans.  The final sessions of Day Two is an opportunity for participants to "Blue Sky" with their Peers and consider the organisation of the future and what this may mean for future developments of the Excellence Model.
