Dear Readers, Dear EFQM Friends,
With 2017 around the corner, it is time to look back again on an eventful year. A lot has happened in the last few months: new partnerships have been signed, many events took place, new products were launched, and I am only naming a few. It’s also my opportunity to wish you the best for the New Year and a well-deserved break.
In this edition of Excellence in Action, we celebrate Excellence across our network and want to congratulate all organisations that strive to be excellent and to always improve themselves. Many of these organisations, EFQM Members but also Members from our Partners, participated in a national award programme based on the EFQM Excellence Model and have achieved a level of recognition in 2016 as part of their Journey to Excellence. We would like to take this opportunity to present them to you in this edition and to celebrate their success, which they strongly deserve.
Further in this Magazine, we share with you articles developed by Experts from the Excellence Network. It starts with a first piece from Pedro Juarez describing a concept to manage agility mastering the continuous flow of change. You will also find 2 interesting articles from Riëtta Klijn all related to the Fundamental Concepts of Excellence (Leadership and People). These two articles are the conclusion of a series of Expert Webinars which were delivered in 2016 by Riëtta.
Another section of this Excellence in Action is related to the EFQM Virtual Offices we opened in Iran and China this year. If you read further, you will discover our latest activities in both countries such as my participation in the CAQ “Performance Excellence Conference” in the “Great Hall of the People”, a prestigious event in China supported by many leading Chinese multinationals as well as by the Chinese government.
In 2016, EFQM visited many Members and Customers such as the European Spallation Source in Lund, Sweden. You can read more stories about our collaboration with members and what happened among the Network further in the Magazine.
Now, I would like to wish you all the best for the New Year and an Excellent break to gather your strenghts for 2017!
I hope you will enjoy reading as much as I have enjoyed learning from EFQM Members and Partner Organisations.
