Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas - Spain

EFQM Excellence Award Winner

Alcobendas is a city located in the Community of Madrid, central Spain. It is located roughly 13 kilometres north of Madrid and 7 kilometres from Barajas International Airport. It includes a central urban zone, a recently built district known as Valdelasfuentes, La Moraleja and El Soto de la Moraleja residential zones, the Valdelatas nature reserve and a light industrial estate. Ayuntamiento de Alcobendas offers services to citizens (Cooperation to Development, Culture, Sports, Education, Treasury, Health, Social welfare, etc.) to city (environment, safety, etc.) and to companies (Business parks, Business District, Employment Agency, Business Centre, Training and Employment, etc.).

Aeroports de Lyon - France

EFQM Prize Winner in Managing with Agility

Aéroports de Lyon have been a limited liability company since 2007, operating the two airports of the city, the Lyon-Saint Exupéry and Lyon-Bron, through 2047 when the concession by the French State ends. The State currently owns 60% of the shares which are going to be sold in the coming months to a private investor. The rest of the stake belongs to the Region of Lyon. The two airports serve a catchment area of 12 million residents, 34 cities and about 500,000 companies. The main airport of the city, Lyon-Saint Exupèry, is connected to the Region by a comprehensive public transport and road network. Lyon-Bron is dedicated to business aviation. 

Bradstow School - United Kingdom

EFQM Prize Winner in Adding value for Customers & Creating a Sustainable Future

Bradstow is a residential special school, registered as a children’s home. The school is maintained by the London Borough of Wandsworth. Bradstow supports children and young people with severe intellectual disabilities who are on the autistic spectrum continuum. Their facilities include an amphitheatre, library, swimming pool, parents’ flat, interactive soft play and sensory rooms, interactive bicycle track, pottery, all weather football pitch, sensory garden, and extensive grounds and horticultural projects.

City of Glasgow College - United Kingdom

EFQM Prize Winner in Sustaining Outstanding Results

In September 2010 the College landscape in Scotland changed dramatically when City of Glasgow College was formed following the pathfinder merger of three legacy Colleges, Central College Glasgow, Glasgow Metropolitan College and Glasgow College of Nautical Studies. When merged, City of Glasgow College was Scotland’s newest and largest college, and as a result the College and its graduates had, and still have, a considerable and wide-ranging economic, social, and cultural influence. Over 30,000 students enrol each year, of which around 10,000 study on full-time further and higher education courses. The College currently occupies 11 sites across Glasgow. These are in the process of being replaced by two major landmark campuses.

EFQM Prize Winner in Leading with Vision, Inspiration and Integrity

GC Europe provides oral health solutions for dental professionals from its headquarters and logistics warehouse in Leuven, Belgium, to dealer organisations across Europe, the Middle East and Africa. The Leuven operations also support the activities of their 12 regional branches, as well as produce, fill and package a range of dental materials. The main focuses at GCE are the sale and supply of materials and services, and the development of products and concepts together with their parent company, GC Corporation.

General Directorate of IETT Enterprises - Turkey

EFQM Prize Winner in Adding value for Customers

IETT is the public bus transport directorate operating under İstanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM). İETT offers services in the province of İstanbul (a total surface area of 5461 km²). İETT owns the General Directorate Building located in Beyoğlu/Tünel, an administrative building located in Karaköy and ten garages for parking and maintenance-repair operations in various districts of İstanbul.

Glasgow Housing Association - United Kingdom

EFQM Prize Winner in Developing Organisational Capability

The Glasgow Housing Association (GHA) is a not-for-profit Registered Social Landlord (RSL), based in Glasgow. They are a registered Scottish charity and Community Benefit Society and the main subsidiary in Wheatley Housing Group (WHG), Scotland’s leading housing, care and property-management group. Their core business is the provision of affordable housing, providing high quality homes and housing services to 65,000 people across Glasgow. They own and manage 41,500 rented properties, making them the largest provider of social rented housing in Scotland.

Robert Bosch GmbH, Blaichach Plant - Germany

EFQM Prize Winner in Creating a Sustainable Future & Sustaining Outstanding Results

Robert Bosch, Blaichach Plant (BhP) is the largest industrial employer in the Allgäu region and manufactures mainly electronic brake control systems (ABS and ESP®), injection components and sensors for drive technology. BhP as a manufacturing plant has a wide automotive product portfolio. As lead plant for ESP and ABS production BhP coordinates 11 plants within the International Production Network and is responsible for the production performance results of this global production network.

Stavropol State Agrarian University - Russia

EFQM Prize Winner in Developing Organisational Capability

Stavropol State Agrarian University (SSAU) is a leading Russian centre of education, research and culture, located in the North-Caucasus Federal District (NCFD) of the Russian Federation (RF), in the town of Stavropol. It is the leader of higher agrarian education of the Russian Federation. The principle of freedom in educational and research activities proclaimed by Magna Charta of European universities is the fundamental basis of the University. Keeping and qualitative developing the SSAU identity is one of the essential conditions for its successful competitiveness in the educational and research segment and the labour market. The year of establishment is 1930.

AHOLD Czech Republic, a.s.

AHOLD Czech Republic (ACR) manages Albert, which operates supermarkets and compact hypers in the Czech Republic. ACR operates 335 retail stores ( 75% of supermarkets, 25% of hypermarkets), 2 own distribution centres and 1 Support Office / HQ Office, located in Prague. They are on the market of Czech Republic since 1991. With a market share of 20%, their mission is to maintain the position of successful retailer and employer.

Bosch Security Systems, S.A. - Portugal

Bosch Ovar acts as an Electronics Manufacturing Service provider. It is part of Bosch Security Systems Division (ST), with headquarters in Grasbrunn, Germany. Within ST, Bosch Ovar is mainly responsible for the industrialization and manufacture of products for the Business Unit Video Systems (ST-VS), as well as a considerable share of Business Unit Communication Systems (ST-CO) and Business Unit Fire (ST-FIR). From 2013 onwards, Bosch Ovar initiated the industrialisation for other divisions of the Bosch Group, namely Thermotechnology (TT) and Power Tools (PT).

CCI Turkey operates with 8 plants in Çorlu, Bursa, İzmir, Ankara, Mersin, Elazığ&Hazar, Sapanca and Köyceğiz and four distribution warehouses. Supply Chain acts on CCİ’s Vision and Strategic Management Framework; they are based on the company values; defines as passion, accountability, integrity and teamwork while implementing these concepts. SC organisation consists of Central Planning, Warehouse, Purchasing, logistics and plant. Human Resources Department contributes to operation through Business Partner Structure as an administrative, organisational and a support process. There is an HR Manager in HQ as business partner to Supply Chain Department.

Hospital Universitario Infanta Elena - Spain

Hospital Universitario Infanta Elena (HUIE) follows a for-profit business model providing patient care, research and teaching. Its area of direct influence comprises of 4 municipalities of urban expansion with currently around 113000 inhabitants. The hospital is part of SERMAS network - a public hospital network for the Madrid region. Based on a management contract with SERMAS, HUIE provides ‘smaller, less complex’ services generally classified under ‘Group 1’ hospitals. Opening doors in 2007, the hospital has developed to a fully utilised facility with a total of 144 beds offering medical, surgical and central support services. HUIE belongs to the Quirónsalud Group, a large private health-care group in Spain, which is currently made up of 70 hospitals with more than 6200 beds located across the country. 

Recupel VZW - Belgium

EFQM Excellence Award Finalist

Recupel is a non-for-profit organisation founded in 2001 to organise the WEEE take-back obligation (WEEE - Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment) for all of Belgium. Their main task is to organise the administrative and financial infrastructure for the collection, transport, de-pollution, and recycling of WEEE for all partners connected to the system. According to their Vision, Recupel is striving for a better living environment via optimal recuperation of materials from WEEE.

Tarsus Belediyesi - Turkey

EFQM Excellence Award Finalist

Tarsus is a historic city in south-central Turkey, 20 km inland from the Mediterranean. It is part of the Adana-Mersin Metropolitan Area, the fourth-largest metropolitan area in Turkey with a population of 3 million people. Tarsus forms an administrative district in the eastern part of the Mersin Province and lies in the core of Çukurova region. The services provided by the municipality are, amongst others: development and urban planning, geographic and urban information systems, environment and health, cleaning, municipal police, housing, culture and art, tourism and promotion, social services and assistance and support for the development of economy and trade.
